Dimitri Mascarenhas to step down as New Zealand bowling coach

Dimitri Mascarenhas, New Zealand's bowling coach, will step down from his position at the end of the series against Australia, the country's cricket board announced on Friday (January 29). Mascarenhas, the former England medium-pacer who took over coaching duties from Shane Bond, said the decision to quit eight months into a two-year contract emanated from a need to spend to more time with family

."While obviously disappointed, we understand that family comes first and the demands of the international calendar are not always compatible with that. We look forward to having him with us through to the end of the Australian series and wish him well for the future."
